How It Works
Selling your Rolex to Chronofinder is a simple four-step process, whether you choose to visit us in person or send your watch by post. Here’s what happens from the moment you get in touch to the point your payment lands.
1. Submit Details
Complete the form or contact us on the details above. A member of our team will be in touch shortly after to discuss the watch you have for sale.
2. Send Your Watch
Once we have agreed on a pre-inspection price, either book an appointment at our Hatton Garden showroom or request a pre-paid, fully insured postal pack to send your watch in.
3. Inspection
After we have received your watch, it will be carefully inspected by one of our luxury watch experts. We'll confirm the final offer based on the condition and any accompanying box and papers.
4. Get Paid
After the inspection is complete and both parties are happy, you will be paid by instant bank transfer.

We Buy in Any Condition
Looking to Part Exchange?
Unworn with the full box and papers, or a well-used watch on its own, we’ll make an offer on both. The price will reflect what you have, but there’s no minimum standard to meet before we take a look.
If you’re looking to put the value of your Rolex towards something else from our collection, we’re happy to discuss a part exchange. Browse our current stock.
What Affects The Value of Your Rolex?
What your Rolex is worth depends on more than just the model. Several factors come into play, from condition and configuration to whether you have the original box and papers. Understanding what drives the price will help you go into the process with realistic expectations.
Model and reference
Not all Rolex watches hold their value equally. Certain references, particularly the Daytona, GMT Master II, and Submariner, tend to command stronger prices due to consistent demand. Rarer dial configurations or limited production variants can also push values higher.
Condition
The closer your watch is to its original condition, the stronger the offer is likely to be. A well-maintained example will always attract a better price, though we assess every watch on its own merits and will always give you an honest valuation based on what you have.
If you want to understand how to keep your Rolex in the best possible condition before selling, our care and maintenance guide covers the essentials.
Box and papers
Selling with the original box, papers, and any additional accessories will typically add to your offer. The original purchase receipt, hang tags, and warranty card all contribute. That said, a watch without paperwork is still very much sellable; it simply affects where the price lands.
For a fuller picture of how papers affect the selling process, read our guide to selling a Rolex without papers.
Service history
Documentation of any manufacturer or authorised dealer servicing can support the asking price, though it isn’t essential.
Market fluctuations
Pre-owned Rolex prices move with broader market trends. Demand for specific references shifts over time, which means the same watch can be worth more or less depending on when you sell. Our team monitors the market closely and prices accordingly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the original box and papers to sell my Rolex?
No. A watch without its original box and papers is still sellable, and we buy both. Having the full set will generally improve the offer you receive, but it isn’t a condition of sale.
How do I get a quote for my Rolex?
Fill in the form at the top of this page with your watch details and contact information. A member of our team will come back to you with an initial offer. Alternatively, you can call us on 020 7242 5056 or message us on WhatsApp.
How does payment work?
Once the watch has been inspected and both parties are happy with the agreed price, payment is made by instant bank transfer the same day.
